It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in ‘the Valley.’ If you’re not feeling festive just yet, a parade featuring thousands of beautiful lights and Santa himself is sure to get you in the holiday spirit.
So grab your clan and some chairs, bundle up nice and toasty and don’t forget the hot chocolate with fluffy marshmallows — Here are 5 Christmas parades coming soon to the Fraser Valley.
1. Cloverdale ~ Santa Parade of Lights (Dec. 7)
Come one, come all to see the dazzling show of spectacular parade that starts at 5 p.m. in historic downtown Cloverdale. The jolly man in the red suit is coming to town as well as various other floats, boats, horses, marching units, antique cars/trucks and much more. After the parade there will be the traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony by the Square with a chance for children to meet and greet Santa Claus. 2. Chilliwack ~ Rotary Christmas Parade (Dec. 6)
Come early at 1 p.m. for the pre-parade festivities, which will include 2 entertainment stages, an indoor market with kids’ crafts, outdoor food trucks, photo ops with Santa and so much more. At 5:30 p.m. the magical parade will kick off! Click for parade route HERE.
3. Langley City ~Magic of Christmas Parade (Dec. 6)
This special event geared towards bringing together families and the community at large to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season takes place in the downtown core of Langley City at 6 p.m. The Magic of Christmas Parade has featured over 50 entries consisting of festive floats, bands, decorated vehicles, dance troupes, equestrian groups, and community groups. 4 . Maple Ridge ~ Santa Claus Parade (Dec. 6)
For a double dose of holiday cheer, head to Maple Ridge for Christmas in the Park & The Santa Clause Parade. Just remember to arrive early to claim a spot along Santa’s Parade Route! (Click Here for this years Parade Route)
Park Activities starts at 4 p.m. and the parade starts at 6 p.m. Christmas in the Park runs from 4 to 8 p.m. with crafts for the kiddies, treats, Santa’s mailbox along with Santa — new this year is the Christmas Passport for kids to explore the park.

5. Aldergrove ~ Christmas Times a Comin’ (Dec. 13)
Aldergrove Festival Days proudly presents the Annual Christmas “Light Up” parade on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. Word has it there will be Hot Chocolate stations along the parade route. For more info and parade route, click HERE.
